Slow-Simmered, Never Rushed
Oxtail goes in the pot early and stays there. That fall-off-the-bone tenderness can't be hurried, so we don't try.
OUR STORY
Bold Flavor · Island Vibes · Home-Cooked Goodness
We opened our doors in Pell City on July 11 with a soft opening, a hot kitchen, and a simple promise: bold flavor, island vibes, home-cooked goodness. The line went out the door that first week, and this community hasn't let up since.
What started as trays of jerk chicken and oxtail became a full dining room with murals on the wall, reggae on the speakers, and regulars who know exactly what they want before they reach the counter.
Today we're open seven days a week, serving dine-in, takeout, and DoorDash delivery — still cooking everything the same way we did on day one.

Four things we never cut corners on.
Oxtail goes in the pot early and stays there. That fall-off-the-bone tenderness can't be hurried, so we don't try.
Scotch bonnet, pimento, thyme, scallion. Seasoned the way it's done back a yard, with heat that respects the flavor.
Rice & peas, steamed cabbage, fried plantains, Saturday soup — cooked fresh in our kitchen every single day.
Family recipes served the way Mama would serve them: generous portions and a warm word at the counter.

We're proud and honored to serve this community. Your smiles, your feedback, and your full bellies mean everything to us — good or bad, we're always listening and always cooking better because of it.
“Welcome to Pell City! Both meals SLAP. First visit was the brown stew chicken. Second was jerk chicken.”
“I am so very glad you are part of our community! I have thoroughly enjoyed all my meals purchased from your restaurant.”
“The rasta pasta is awesome!”
